Hi guys trying to catch up on vlogs as we have been away cruising around the Greek islands with Virgin, where is the Walmart located we think we went in there in December but not certain, we are back over in November would love to catch up with you both again, ps we are visiting Las Vegas on another trip do you have any Vlogs on Vegas ? Keep safe Andy and Vonnie
This Walmart is in Winter Garden. Yes, we have a couple of playlists from Vegas
Costco could save some money for you guys, could be a good vlog
We are members of Sam's Club, and we vlogged that
I think expats think it’s expensive in Orlando compared to U.K. however I don’t think there’s much in it. Publix is pricey but so is Waitrose. The weather here is shocking. Had to call off a bike ride today as teaming it down and 12 degrees -was winter cold. Crazy. Give me Florida any day! Wages were suppressed in the U.K. for over a decade due to unlimited cheap imported Labour, but wages now going up and prices have risen.
We are there soon, i hope it gets better
@@ThemeParkBazza honestly mate it’s been absolutely shocking but today really took the biscuit. Raining almost every day with cloudy skies. Awful.
A good way of saving money is to get an annual pass for six flags and then add on the annual food pass which is currently on offer at $129. You can then enjoy two meals every day for an entire year at your local six flags park. Although you may not live long enough to reap the full annual benefit.
We do have annual passes, but we do not go often enough to recoup that money
So if I was in England and there was a Texas bar there is no way I would go into it same goes for English visiting Texas why would you go to a English PUB in Texas go to a real Texas Bar while in Texas just saying 🤷♂️
Different if you live in the USA. 99% of the time we are in US bars , so a UK one is a treat. I am sure if you moved to the UK and a US Sports Bar opened close by, you would try it out.
Wow!!!! Way cheaper than in Ontario Canada! (even with the exchange) Me and my family will be in Orlando for 3 weeks in August, can't wait to go grocery shopping, I'll actually save money on food. Also everything in Canada seems old and rotten, everything looks so fresh there!!!
Don't forget to add 5% sales tax
@@ThemeParkBazza We have 13% sales tax here so 5% is not so bad.
I always think Orlando is expensive these days, visited in May ‘24 and things were expensive in Walmart, and McDonalds, 2 medium meals cost me $22, the same is £13 in the UK.
McD's prices ha e gone crazy
Really pricey there now. Travel bargains have disappeared! Enjoyed trolley cam!
Glad you enjoyed it
This video made me so happy. I love looking around American supermarkets. Your citrus fruits etc are cheaper and so much bigger than here in the UK which makes sense as we dont have the sunshine. The selection of choice you have per food item is much bigger than we have. Cheers
Thanks for watching
What you have done is amazing. It's been a long slog. Thanks for sharing and letting us follow on ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Hi question for you not really shopping related, can you buy a one day Disney ticket for Hollywood studios/Epcot.tia
Yes you can buy them on the gate at the parks
@@ThemeParkBazza thank,s a lot there on Friday.
Hi. Which Walmart did you visit?
Winter Garden
I'm watching the vlog and as a Yorkshire man a little voice in my head is shouting "How much"😂
Don’t forget to add sales tax to each item
That's what I said to the missus "You've got to add the tax onto this lot". The Pataks Tikka Masala sauce at 4 dollars 18 cents tipped me over the edge, it's about £1.20 in my local Asda.😂
Hi from sunny Scotland, when we visited America we always bought the Pepperidge Farm Sausalito cookies, and took lots home, I know they’re available on Amazon but at a shocking price. 🤗🏴
Same when we buy UK good on Amazon here, a bottle of Salad Cream is $15
I don't think its that much more expensive apart from the fruit. Our local Sainsbury's charges £3.80 for Bonne Mamon jam, and honey nut cornflakes are nearly £5.00. Id forgotten about the giant sized containers of juice etc over there, we used to buy Motts apple and loved it.
Don’t forget to add sales tax onto each item price you saw
Wow, the cucumber and the bread really stood out for me! So expensive. Overall it didn’t strike me as hugely more expensive than the UK, but of course the quality of the food comparatively is questionable. I’ve read about the preservatives etc they use in food over there, and put it this way, I wouldn’t be buying supermarket chicken 😂. Always fun to see what’s available though. I’d be in there for hours, too much distraction with all that choice 😁
There is sales tax to add to each item you saw
@@ThemeParkBazza Of course! Forgot about that 😬
Expensive Bazza but worth it.. I have been retired here in Accrington for 3 weeks. I'm bored stiff..not stopped lashing it down for all of the 3 weeks. Yesterday it was hailstones. It's bloody June. Lol.. I'm thinking of moving abroad as this with the weather is massive. When we get older we all mostly get a bit of athreitis. It's 10x worse in bad weather.. But on a positive I do not miss work. 😅😅.. I'm just slightly bored. Even bought a ps5 last week.
The heat Definetly helps the aches and pains. The nice weather means we can get out as well, I have not been bored as it’s giving me time to go to the parks and see friends I never had time to when working
@@ThemeParkBazza nice one. I will be OK in the summer aswell as I'm a kean golfer.. Ps has Mrs Bazza not had a nervous break down yet. Lol. My Mrs says I'm doing her head right in and I need more hobbies.
She is fine, though we now have rum delivered daily
@@ThemeParkBazza haha.. My Mrs is on the vallium..
Every Australian screamed NOOOOooo when you picked up the Fosters
I know, tourist larger. I am glad Maxi e prefers it though to the American options. It’s quite hard to get Tooheys here
Thanks for the interesting video. I can’t really tell how expensive the items are as I can’t tell the weight/volume of most of them. . But, $3 for 18 eggs and 84 cents for the blueberry pie seems very reasonable to me. Here in Singapore, the smallest, LOWEST quality eggs are $2.15 for 10.
Remember you add sales tax at the end on every item you buy
Good vlog. Do you have a BJ's card or Costco card? They are more a bulk store but good for nonperishable items, meat, fresh veggies and fruits and a terrific bakery. Trader Joes prices are also good for fresh fruits (bananas 23cents) and veggies and special treats. Also Aldis has good prices.
We have a Sam's Club card. We normally shop at Aldi and Walmart and top up at Publix. We do go to traders occasionally, but that's so expensive here.
Spot on. We been here in St Cloud FL now 2.5yrs from Wigan Lancs, we also noticed about a 20% increase. Crazy! We do most of our food shop at ALDI then Walmart then only Publix in an emergency! A while ago I got 1 x 4 pint milk 1 x 2% milk and another 1 x 1% milk. $14.00!!!! Great video thanks!
We do the same Aldi- Walmart and top up from Publix or Target. We lived in Wigan 1989 to 1995 , our Ryan was born in Billinge hospital
@@ThemeParkBazza wow my son Josh is 32 lives in Oswaldtwistle now but was born in billing hospital too
I think it’s been demolished now
Strawberries 4 dollars, grapes 5 dollars, corn 3 dollars 50 for two, tomatoes 2,60, bananas 1,30 a pound, appels 1,50 a pound, carrots 3 dollars a pound, chicken filet 3.60 dollers for 200 grams. Shocked mainland Europe groceries are more expensive than in the UK
Wow
I only get my sandwich meat from the deli now. I know what you mean about the after taste in the prepackaged deli meat. I need to look for that yummy looking bread when I got to my Walmart on Sunday! I also recommend Bread in a Can. You can sometimes find it with the canned beans and chili. It’s delicious. Especially when you toast it and put a little butter on it!!
Yummy !
Just wondering how far out do you have to go to get a non tourist Walmart? Looked a lot nicer and calmer than the one we usually go to.
Usually, about 5- 10 miles from the tourist areas to the east and west of orlando
hi just watched your vlog ,you might think food is alot cheaper here in the UK but I beg to differ now.i was in asda.the other day and they wanted 8pounds for a box of fish fingers couldn't believe it ,the food over here has gone so expensive.
Oh wow!
Had to go and look to see what on earth you were buying for £8 The only packet at that price is for 32 fish ringers, and Bird’s Eye at that….you can hardly complain at £8 for that many 😆 Own brand, same fish, half the price. Shop wisely 😊
I didn't buy them wouldn't eat that rubbish
Visited the UK in 2022. Did a big shop in Tesco, which included liquor. Was amazed when the total was just over £100. Same kind of shop in the US would have been well over $200. Food price and quality is so much better in the UK.
I am blown away at the mega size of everything there!!!!
Oh yes , American portions
I’d say the prices are similar but slightly cheaper in Orlando. Working on $1.25 per £1 I think you guys are better off Enjoy your weekend
Not a great difference to us in the UK now. My weekly Tesco shop before Covid used to be about £60. Now for about the same amount it's roughly £100.
Good to know!
Bazza all I can hear when you are shopping is “fork handles” 🤣
Do you have any “O” s
@@ThemeParkBazza Bull Hooks 😇
We've been home a month now and we found that prices had gone way up since last summer. Did you use proper check out or normal, we dislike self check outs immensely. How about doing a "compare" shop at Publix, we like Publix because you still get served at the check out. How's retirement suiting you Bazza?
We never do a self checkout for a big shop, love being able to shop at the quiet times now
@@ThemeParkBazza yeah, I get that mate. I thought it looked a bit quiet to be honest. Never seen the Walmart at Cagan Crossings that quiet, even at 6 in the morning.
When we visited Florida back last august I thought the food in Walmart was expensive. Food back in the UK has gone up however it’s definitely cheaper here.
Love a Walmart walk around!! Do you think Americans would enjoy a tour of Tesco? 😇🤣
Oh yes , ruclips.net/video/IpOaSJeS6bA/видео.htmlsi=1va2SmAoIGs_q3dG
Definitely a yes!
To the uk pound It’s expensive omg
Aye
Which Walmart is this one … I like going the none tourists ones because they sell the good halloween Christmas stuff… the turkey lake one doesn’t sell much of the seasonal
Winter Garden
Very interesting watching you both shop in Walmart. I would say prices are quite reasonable compared to the UK. I shop in Sainburys who try and price match Aldi. Have you shopped in Costco? How do the prices compare with Walmart? Congratulations on your retirement.😊
We don’t tend to shop in Costco or Sam’s club as there are only two of us and their stud comes. In huge packs. We prefer Aldi
Food prices have sky rocketed everywhere... though it seems very expensive there and though the choice in supermarkets here is excellent it seems a notch higher over there! Another great vlog guys 😊
Thank you
150 dollars it's about 118 pounds
great video. How long have you guys lived in the states? I do find a few things more expensive then England, but mind you, I moved here 40 odd years ago LOL There's still a lot I miss in England.
20 years
I think I may pack more food in my suitcase for our upcoming trip to Orlando especially after seeing you take home a Frey Bentos pie in a long ago vlog.
Oh yes we bring back loads on each visit to the UK
Some of the prices weren't too bad for what u get Barry. The UK has went absolutely bonkers on prices for literally everything.
We will find out in a few weeks
@@ThemeParkBazza Are the Bazza's coming home or just asking the logde guys opinion? 🤔
Our annual summer holiday to see family
@@ThemeParkBazza Nice hope u enjoy. 👍
Very expensive in Florida now it was never that expensive until 5-6 years ago and then the prices went wild especially fruit
Yes indeed
Cheaper there than here on the little island of Jersey that's for sure.
They always price gouge people living on islands
For fruit go to a fruit stand, fresh veggies etc
Some of the American stuff is more expensive, but they are bigger packets than we get , so it probably evens out by the time you do weekly shop
Would be interested in seeing an Aldi’s haul. This way we can see the prices (and quality) of meat and compare. Thanks.
We did an Aldi haul 2 years ago just after the Walmart one , we may do a refresh
Hi we live in N.Ireland and we have been numerous times to Florida and loved the shopping prices for food. But I think compared to here your prices are dearer than ours .You definitely still have more choice but what a change in prices .Would still love a Walmart here xo
Big changes in even the last two years
When is the puppy coming and what breed?
When we are ready
Love your Walmart shop. Which one is it ? Definitely not as manic as the tourist area ones
This one was in Winter Garden , away from the tourist areas
yikes at those prices makes Marks & Spencer look like a discount store take care guys x
Fruit is crazy Expensive I think, but it may just be me
